The Eui-Young Yu collection of newspaper clippings on the 1992 Los Angeles Riots includes 1,282 Korean articles from Hanguk Ilbo and Chungang Ilbo, and approximately 380 articles from the Los Angeles Times on the subjects of the 1992 Los Angeles Riots as well as race/cultural relations leading to and following the riots.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
Eui-Young Yu (유의영 Yu Ŭi-yŏng), Professor Emeritus, California State University, Los Angeles and former Director, Korean American Coalition - Census Information Center assembled and donated this collection of newspaper clippings, along with Access databases of the articles and names.
Existence and Location of Copies
The Korean Heritage Library holds digital copies of the articles in this collection along with lists of citations documenting the articles. Researchers can download the four PDF files that list citations for all of the articles in the collection using the digital object records linked to this finding aid under "Digital Material."
