General

American occupation forces shot a large amount of aerial footage, documenting the destruction of much of Japan. This footage is remarkable as it shows how utter and complete the U.S. bombing campaign was. Also included are scenes of urban and rural life in the immediate aftermath of Japan's defeat. Some of the most unique footage shows repatriated Japanese military personnel, and civilians, being evacuated from China.
