Scope and Contents
Collection consists of one group photograph of silent picture personalities taken at Norma Talmadge’s beach house in Playa del Rey in 1926 with an accompanying identification list and letter from Paul Calvert, studio electrician for Warner Bros. Studios. The photograph includes such notable people as Roscoe Arbuckle, Jack Pickford, Rudolph Valentino, Pola Negri, Louella Parsons, Claire Windsor, and Dorothy Dalton.
Originally part of the Ethel Barrymore Memorial Theatre Arts Collection at the University of Southern California Library 100 Series, and was labeled 100-12 .

Biographical / Historical
Norma Talmadge (1894-1957) was an American silent film actress and producer best known for Smilin’ Through (1922). Talmadge’s career reached its peak in the early 1920s, and she retired from acting in the early 1930s after being unable to adapt to the new “talkies” and becoming bored with filmmaking.
