Scope and Contents

This small collection contains papers of American music producer and biographer Hugh Fordin (1935-2019). Materials consist of some research subject files, movie stills, cassette tapes of an interview of American author and MGM vocal arranger Kay Thompson (1909-1998) conducted by Fordin in 1972, and a typescript manuscript and proof of Fordin's book The World of Entertainment! Hollywood's Greatest Musicals: The Freed Unit at MGM (1975) about Arthur Freed (1894-1973) and his MGM musicals department.
