This collection consists of the theater programs and photographs of Elizabeth Leslie Roos (1887-1977). These include the Civic Repertory Theatre and the Los Angeles Repertory Theatre. Roo's father, Morris Meyerfeld Jr., was president of the Orpheum Theater Circuit.

Biographical / Historical

Elizabeth Leslie Roos (1887-1977) was married to San Francisco financier Leon L. Roos. Her father, Morris Meyerfeld Jr., was president of the Orpheum Theater Circuit. This circuit was one of the largest theater companies on the West Coast at the time. Ms. Meyerfeld would often travel with her parents to Europe to scout talent for the theater.
