Scope and Contents

This collection contains paper dolls from the 1940s, sheet music for popular American songs, and a clippings scrapbook about movie stars collected by Patricia Woltman. There are 71 pieces of sheet music with pictorial covers, dating from 1901 to 1966 with the bulk from the 1910s to 1940s. The paper dolls date from approximately the early 1940s and include some movie actresses. There is also a scrapbook of clippings of newspaper articles from the late 1930s chiefly about actors and actresses that appeared in the "Coloroto" section.

Biographical / Historical

Patricia Woltman received a BA from St. John's University in Brooklyn, New York, and an MA from Hunter College. She was a teacher and education consultant in New York and Los Angeles.
