Biographical / Historical
Ruby Raksin (1917-1979) was an American composer. He won an Academy Award in 1966 for Technical Achievement for production of a Composer's Manual for Motion Picture Music Synchronization, alongside Carroll Knudson. He created music for "Foul Play" (1978), "Valley of the Dragons" (1961), "Flipper," "Hollywood and the Stars," and "Riverboat."
