Scope and Contents

This collection contains scripts for radio and television programs produced between 1946 and 1981. The scripts were collected by contributing comedy writer Al Gordon (1923-2012). The programs represented in the collection include the Eddie Cantor Show, Jack Benny Show, The Tommy Dorsey Show, The Carol Burnett Show, Dean Martin Show, Jim Nabors Hour, and the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour.

Biographical / Historical

Al Gordon (1923-2012) was an American comedy writer for radio and television programs from the late 1940s until the early 1990s. During his career, Gordon recieved three Emmy Awards for his writing and an additional seven nominations.
