This series contains the correspondence of both Ethelean Tyson Gaw, as well as some of her husband, Dr. Allison Gaw, typescript and manuscript drafts and printer’s proofs of her plays, articles and poetry and records related to the production of Pharaoh’s Daughter staged by Shubert in New York. Also included in this series are ephemera, newspaper and periodical clippings by or about the Gaws, photographs and her calendars for 1954, 1955, 1958 and 1959.

Series contains Standing Bear’s correspondence with Europeans about his works, especially My People, the Sioux, and their foreign translations, as well as with some of his publishers.
