Sofi Khachmanyan and Elmira Adamian are master and apprentice artisans specializing in an Armenian style of embroidery known as Marash. They received a grant from the Alliance for California Traditional Arts. Included are Samuelian's notes on the pair and their work, as well as pictures of the two and a small sample of their work.
