Scope and Contents From the Collection: This small collection chiefly contains handwritten and printed governmental documents related to the reign of Emperor Maximilian I of Mexico from 1864 to 1867. Among the items are two 1865 orders signed "Maximiliano"; bound and loosed manuscript and printed government documents dating from 1863-1867, with a number of printed circulars and broadsides; and contemporary manuscript copies of documents.
