Scope and Contents From the Sub-Series: This series consists of letters written from prisons. Most of the letters were sent to the New Panther Vanguard Movement headquarters in Los Angeles and included requests for literature and materials from the movement. Several prisoners also sent their own poems, drawings, essays, and other forms of self-expression.
