In 1990, Gerhard ordered a reprint of an issue (no. 6, 1914) of the art and culture journal "Der Sturm" featuring on its cover a drawing by Chagall--"The Drinker." In 1999, he purchased the issue through a rare journal collector. The correspondence, information and receipts for both transactions are included.
