Veramay started her letter by telling Wright that his letter was a wonderful shock. She told him that it was very possible that her mother would have to return to the hospital in Riverside. She updated Wright with news of everyone back home. She informed him that her family started to grow their own strawberries and that she wished he was there to eat them with her. She ended the letter by telling Wright that she paid his mother a visit and that she included a letter from Liz.

She told him that she was happy to hear that he loved her even though they were miles apart. She scolded him for sending her a birthday gift and told him that he had already sent him enough for a dozen birthdays. She ended the letter by asking Wright if there was anything that he wanted her to send him.
