Scope and Contents

The collection is comprised of programs and other publications documenting the dedication and groundbreaking ceremonies of various buildings and centers at the University of Southern California. It appears that buildings only at the University Park campus are represented in this collection which consists of approximately 100 items. Some of the buildings represented are Founders Hall, the Von Kleinsmidt Center, Frank Seaver Science Center, Montgomery Ross Fisher Building (dedicated in 1974 as the Library Science building, now part of the School of Social Work), and the Cinema Television Center. The building representing the earliest program is the Hendryx Laboratory (College of Medicine), dedicated in 1899. Last one documented in this collection is the Ronald Tutor Campus Center, named in 2008.
