Scope and Contents
This collection consists of pocket-sized student handbooks for the University of Southern California, issued for academic years from 1892 to 1949. These handbooks include a school events calendar; sport event dates; lists of fraternity, sororities, and campus organizations; directories; school traditions; local advertisements; and school songs. The handbooks are variously produced by the "Young Men's and Young Women's Christian Associations and the University of Southern California" (1892/93-1925/26); by the Associated Student Body (1925/26-1931/32 and 1938/39-1948/49); and by the University Bookstore (1932/33-1937/38). There is also one "Trojane Guide" for 1944/45 published by the YWCA for female students. Some issues are missing, and no student handbooks were published between 1942 and 1945.
