Scope and Contents
This collection contains the papers of USC head of the Department of Classical Languages, Dr. Ruth Brown, and head of the Department of English Language and Literature, Dr. Alison Gaw. Collection includes an inventory in box.
Dr. Brown’s papers include early USC Phi Beta Kappa records: applications, invitations for the 1929 installation event, and early meeting minutes, and Daily Trojan clippings. Also included are clippings and pamphlets related to Brown and other USC faculty members.
Dr. Gaw’s papers include a report card from her early education, correspondence, English department newsletters, a poem by Gaw, and contemporary plays compiled by Gaw.
