Content Description
The German Exiles collection contains correspondence, photographs, newspaper clippings, event programs, and other material relating to various German exiles, including Lion Feuchtwanger, Alfred Adler, Bruno Frank, Emil Ludwig, Franz and Alma Werfel, and Thomas Mann. The German Exiles collection finding aid began as a description of purchased material, consisting of a letter and photographs of Alfred Adler, Bruno Frank, Emil Ludwig, Franz and Alma Werfel, and Thomas Mann (by Ernest Gottlieb and signed by Thomas Mann). Subsequently, Special Collections added additional German exiles-related material from various sources to the collection.
