Scrapbook and photo album, created by William M. Hogue, 1924-1929, 1953, documenting the musical, theatrical, academic, and professional careers of Hogue, an engineering student and trombonist, and his friend, Harold Roberts, a band leader, while studying at the University of Southern California during the Roaring 20s, with newspaper clippings, photos, broadsides, business cards, and programs for the USC Dance Band, Golden State Band, and USC Band. Roberts led the Trojan Jazz Band, as well as the USC Marching Band as their director from 1926-1936. A number of the photos show the Trojans marching at USC football games and Hogue playing trombone with the Popular Movieland Orchestra contracted with Warner Bros. Studios. The scrapbook also includes some of Hogue's report cards, photographs and telegrams that document his marriage, and 1 page of photographs from 1953, presumably of Hogue.
