Robert J. Clark collection on aeronautical history
Scope and Contents
This collection consists of a scrapbook containing photographs, articles, and clippings about aircraft and flying machines from around the world. It includes binders of aircraft pictures and drawings, aircraft from major United States aircraft companies, as well as smaller builders and foreign builders, early aviation (pre-1914), famous flights, World War I, military aircraft development, postcards, a set of "Profile Publications," color prints, calendars, photographs, and posters. These materials were collected by aircraft designer Robert J. Clark (1919-2009).

Biographical / Historical
Robert J. Clark (1919-2009) was an American aircraft designer at North American Aviation (NAA) and Northrop. Clark was the lead designer of the XAJ Bomber and named a delegate to NATO.
