[Legal documents and correspondence], 1995 July-September

 File — Box: 78, Folder: 2

Scope and Content

From the Series:

The records in boxes 75-80 are some of the records of the Schoenberg Institute that date from its founding upon the initial gift from the Schoenberg heirs, through its transfer from the School of Music to the University Libraries, to its closing. They document primarily the original gift and the disputes between the Schoenberg heirs and the University. They were given to the University Archives upon the removal of the Institute from the University. They are generally arranged in chronological order, and thus every folder contains correspondence, meeting minutes, reports, memorandums and and or other related materials. Folder titles reflect only the dominant topics represented in each folder. Much of the material is photocopies. Box 83 contains programs and announcements for Institute events.
