Scope and Content

From the Collection:

The Fisher Gallery records is composed of six series.

The first series, Gallery Directors, consists of correspondence, newsclippings, administrative reports, and other papers created and received by the Directors of the Fisher Gallery. The second series, Exhibits, consists of correspondence, loan forms, newsclippings, programs, reports, galley proofs, exhibit catalogues, and other materials pertinent to the curating, showing, and traveling of exhibits at the Fisher Gallery and other museums. The third series, Loans, is a small amount of correspondence, loan forms, programs, and other documents related to the loaning of artworks from the Fisher Gallery to other museums. The fourth series contains the records of the Museum Studies Program, including grant applications, informational packets, correspondence, and materials related to the exhibits curated by MSP students. The fifth series consists of the papers of the Friends of Art, including correspondence, newsclippings, programs, and auction details. The sixth series, Photographs, consists of all removed media from the previous series', including photographs, negatives, slides, and records.

Materials removed from the collection include duplicate items, receipts, shipping forms, purchase orders, job applications.
