Letter (file copy) from GH to Helmut & June Newton, 1981 March 15
Scope and Contents
"The coveted March issue arrived by special post March 8th, and everyone here was delighted." "That "young and handsome" photog with Margaux was a Hurrell photo -- so naturally I look handsome. Didn't you notice the fist squeezing the bulb?" "Just received your March 7th letter and I 'm ecstatic over your praise. After all, with a mastermind like Franceline in command and the help of all her troopers -- all I had to do was push a few lights around and snarl at the models. Frankly, I loved every second of it and anytime they want me back (and I'm always better the second time around) tell them to call John [Dunnicliff, GH's agent] and I'll come running. It was Helmut's recommendation that made it all possible, so I'm happy because he liked what I did."
