"Dear Owen, Received your letter upon my return from San Francisco. Your proposition is very satisfactory and will work out alright. I'm sure even though I must disappoint you in the two large heads which negative was ruined in an accident in my darkroom. I am very sorry about it but propose that I do another sitting of you or your wife and (?) from those. The smiling picture is being sent instead of the serious one. So whenever you're in town next timecome around and we will straighten everything out. Sincerely, Georgie"
