Scope and Contents
Original talk and audio tour. Written by guest curator, Lou D'Elia for the first 'all photography' exhibition at the Walt Disney Family Museum, Presidio, San Francisco, CA February 4 - June 29, 2015. The exhibition was about the career of George Hurrell, as well as his time at Walt Disney Studios in Burbank where he had his own production company with his then wife, Phyllis Bounds Hurrell (Walt Disney's niece). They made the earliest TV commercials and used Disney's artists to create product mascots such as Bucky Beaver for Ipana toothpaste.
