Microfilm reels, circa 1961, undated
Scope and Contents
This microfilm does not cover all of the Hamlin Garland papers -- only certain areas. Also, the arrangement of the microfilm does not match the physical or intellectual arrangement of the larger collection. The microfilm project focused on the following areas of the collection: Ulysses S. Grant biography, notebooks on American Indians, notebooks on Garland's travels in the West, correspondence to and from Hamlin Garland, and smaller amounts of fiction and plays. Includes microfilm documenting correspondence from other collections: "Jack London letters included in the Cresmer collection" and "Hamlin Garland letters from New York Public Library."
