Scope and Contents
Correspondence with the University of Southern California. USC awarded its Doctor of Literature to Garland as well as membership in the Phi Beta Kappa Society. The university also organized two exhibits of his books (1936, 1939) while actively courting acquisition of his library and personal papers.
