Scope and Contents

This folder contains a 1956 publication from the Book Club of California, published as part of its "Treasures of California Collections" series. In 1956, Lloyd A. Arvidson, Curator of the American Literature Collection at USC, submitted parts of Garland's journals as a "treasure" to be included in The Book Club's "Treasures of California Collections" series. Included in this folder are Arvidson's notes and drafts for his submission to the series, copies of the Book Club of California's 1956 publication of this content in its final published form, and a 1999 letter from the Book Club of California describing and enclosing copies of the publication for use by USC's libraries.
