This sub-series is the foundation of the collection, containing Kanitz's original scores from throughout his long career. They have been organized alphabetically for ease of use, although titles are not always exactly the same across all copies of the score. Some scores are bound, some are loose; some scores are in completed form and others are still drafts.

The scores entitled, "I. Akt," "II. Akt" or "III. Akt" are likely all part of one larger score, possibly Kanitz's "Himmelsucher" (later titled "Wunder-Wilan"). However, there is no absolute designation on the separated scores themselves, so they have been kept separately as originally found.
