Scope and Contents
As a lawyer and community activist, Kwaku Duren worked vigorously to fight police misconduct. He not only filed lawsuits against the police and federal authorities, but he also conducted vast amounts of research on racism’s infiltration in police institutions.This series contains anti-police abuse organizational papers, news stories, lawsuits against the police, and papers detailing community police relations. For materialsanything about the 1992 Los Angeles Rebellion, also commonly referred to as the "1992 Los Angeles Riots" or the "L.A.
