Argentinisches Tageblatt, 1947 January 7
Scope and Contents
The newspapers and magazines series is made up of both clippings and full issues/editions that were selectively compiled by the Klingers. Most of the magazines are film related, and the newspapers are those with mentions of Walter's work or important projects he had ties to. The division is mostly between American, German-speaking, and Argentinian publications, representing the three different areas of interest for Walter's work at Warner Bros. Studio. The majority of the publications date from the immediate post-WWII period (around 1947-1949), when Klinger would have been involved in the rebuilding of film culture both in South America, where he had worked as a correspondent, but also in Germany/Switzerland/Austria, where he was stationed directly after the war as a part of the United States forces as they brought American-influenced culture back to German-speaking Europe.
