Scope and Content

During the 1992 riots, the Los Angeles City Council met several times to discuss strategies to curtail the violence. The council also met on several occasions after the riots had ended to ascertain the short-term and long-term effects of the civil disturbance. The series includes recordings of nine city council meetings on video cassette tapes.
