Police Department Questionnaires, 1964-1993
Scope and Content
During its investigation, the Webster Commission evaluated the policies and procedures of other cities' police departments to better assess the LAPD's performance during the 1992 riots. These evaluations were conducted primarily through the distribution of questionnaires, which addressed each department's structure and internal operations. The series consists of questionnaires that were completed by the police departments of 72 major cities and returned to the Webster Commission for review. Items are arranged in alphabetical order according to city name.
