Scope and Content

The series is comprised of various media accounts of the 1992 Los Angeles riots. Included are several newspaper clippings and press releases about the riots; transcripts from interviews and speeches delivered by law enforcement officials; magazine and journal articles about riots, urban disorder, and community-oriented policing; and details pertaining to the emergency operations master plan and procedures for the city of Los Angeles.
