Bryan, Cave, McPheeters & McRoberts investigated the attitudes held by members of Los Angeles' African-American community toward the police, an issue that garnered national attention after the Rodney King incident. The series contains summaries of two interviews conducted with prominent figures within Los Angeles' African-American community, focusing primarily on police brutality in South Los Angeles and the fear that it instills among community members. Also included is a report pertaining to the professional and psychological history of Robert Brodowy, an LAPD officer who had amassed a personnel complaint history unparalleled in the history of the Department.
