Scope and Content
Included in the series are research materials collected by the staff of First Interstate Bancorp during their broad analysis of municipal police departments' structure and function. The series consists primarily of excerpts from books, reports, academic journals, case studies, and other published sources regarding the proper role of police in society. Also included are inventories of other sources relevant to staff's investigation, correspondence and memoranda, speech transcripts, and excerpts from the Congressional Record regarding the implementation of a 10-year fixed term for the FBI Director.
