Nagasaki, Japan, 1900 December 4
Scope and Contents
Letter written by Orion Ashenfelter to his family. Orion starts off his letter by notifying his family that he received his father’s letter. He lets them know that he had a very pleasant Christmas. He writes that he is not sure whether the war will end anytime soon, seeing that you hear nothing but the talk about war. Orion lets his family know that he has sent additional photographs of the trees that General Grant and his wife planted as well as the streets of Nagasaki and closes his letter.
