Letter 2, 1942 December 21
Scope and Contents
Letter addressed to Mrs. Thelma Robinson Carey written by her son Carey. Carey writes a brief letter to inform his mother that he is leaving the following day to a new station. Carey tells his mother that he has been very busy and that he will board the plane to leave early in the morning. He apologizes to his mother for not being able to tell her where he is going, but tells her that it will be far from home. He concludes by telling his mother not to worry about him and that he will take care of himself. He leaves a note at the end I which he thanks his brothers Pat and Cortez for the Christmas and birthday gifts.
