Los Angeles County Bureau of Public Assistance Division of Child Welfare records consist exclusively of documents relating to adoption case recording, collected between 1959 and 1966 by Marian Peterson, Assistant Casework Director of Child Welfare Services. These include examples of forms used by agencies (public and private) across the country and in the Los Angeles area; information from the Child Welfare League's Case Recording Institute 1966 conference; and research materials on case recording.
