General Publications and Papers

 Series

Scope and Content

27 folders. Dates: 1939-1974. As a catchall series for miscellaneous papers and material, the series "General Publications and Papers" was created. This series holds particular interest in the area of mental health, because of the Mental Health Development Commission papers. Also of values are the studies on social welfare services for ethnic groups, especially Chicanos, and for youth. Because of the Welfare Planning Council's regional councils the status and development of social services in such various areas of Los Angeles as the San Fernando Valley and South Central are also documented in this series. For all these subjects, the holdings are chiefly strong for the decade of the 1960s.
