Photo Album "10", 1903-1946
Scope and Content
This album is a white 3-ring binder with plastic photo pages and photos pasted onto black paper inside the photo pages. The first set of photos is from 1938. They depict Robbins Bros. wagons on trains, people watching the trains getting unloaded, and a circus parade. The next twenty-one photos, from 1946, are of Clyde Beatty train cars and elephants. Then there is a set of twenty-six photos, some of a Clyde Beatty and Russell Bros. performance, others of circus trucks and animals. The following set of photos is of the Barnum & Bailey Circus in 1914. Most of these photos depict performers on horseback and horses pulling wagons. There is also what seems to be a holiday card from 1951 with a photo of the Barnum & Bailey Circus in 1903 on it. Then there are five photos of a 1913 Gentry Bros. Dog and Pony Show; a photo of Ringling Bros. horses pulling a wagon in Cincinnati, OH in 1917; a photo of an 1897 parade with lots of elephants, labeled “Adam H. Paul”; and a photo from 1922 of Howe’s Great London horses and a wagon.
