Herbert G. Klein personal material, 15th-17th centuries, 1932-2009 (Bulk 1960-2009)

 Series

Scope and Contents

Herbert G. Klein personal material series contains correspondence, notes, reports, clippings, appointment books, receipts, ephemera, caricatures, political cartoons, posters, realia, photographs, moving images, compact discs, publications, and scrapbooks, 15th-17th centuries, 1932-2009 and undated, created and collected primarily by Herbert G. Klein. Klein did not make distinctions between his professional, philanthropic, and personal endeavors, and as a result the material in this series contains personal information; material that could be interpreted as professional; and material that is more difficult to classify. The series also contains much "miscellaneous" material. Included are materials that document family matters (Klein's daughters' weddings, the Kleins' Super Bowl parties); "personal and miscellaneous" material from the 1968 campaign; information about Nixon not related to his political terms; personal and professional financial documents; ephemera from 1960s political campaigns, Ronald Reagan's 1967 gubernatorial inauguration, and Klein's desk; political cartoons and caricatures; family photographs; photographs of Klein with various political figures; interviews with Ron Ziegler and H.R. Haldeman from the mid-1970s; interviews with Klein looking back on his White House involvement; and information about Klein's memorial service.
