Includes cost estimate comparison for proposals for sheds by Soule Steel Company and Consolidated Steel Company. Also includes correspondence regarding selection of Consolidated Steel for the project and warnings from Soule Steel that Consolidated's design would fail in an earthquake (includes newspaper clippings of Soule Steel advertisement and Los Angeles Times article on earthquakes). Also includes requirements for passenger shed design, Board of Building and Safety Commissioners of the City of Los Angeles.
