Governor's Award, 1966
Scope and Content
This series is comprised of actual awards and certificates as well as press coverage and other papers regarding the awards. One of the awards conferred upon Grace E. Simons in 1979 was the Sol Feinstone Environmental Award, presented annually by the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry. Other awards which Simons received which are included in the collection are the Governor's Design Award of Exceptional Distinction (1966), a certificate of recognition from the Echo Park Community Coordinating Council (1983), a community leadership award from KABC-TV (undated), and an Honor Award from the California Conservation Council (1969).
