Abstract
The B.L. Engineering Inc. archive contains the papers of the civil engineering firm B.L. Engineering, Inc., including contracts, project files, financial records, plans and drawings. The firm, founded in 1969 and owned by the Cuban American Carlos Sebastian Lorente, worked on projects throughout Los Angeles and the region.

Abstract
Created in 1948, the Community Redeveloment Agency of the City of Los Angeles was dedicated to revitalizing, refurbishing, and renewing economically depressed areas of Los Angeles. As an independent agency, the CRA existed until the 2011 Budget Act, signed into law on June 28, 2011, dissolved over 400 redevelopment agencies (RDAs), including the CRA.
