Moshe Lazar papers

Moshe Lazar (1928-2012) was a professor in many subjects at the University of Southern California from the late 1970s until a year before his death. In addition to the many topics he taught at the University, he actively and avidly researched a variety of topics related to medieval literature, antisemitism, and Sephardic studies. The materials in this collection span the breadth of his scholarly interests and activities.

Correspondence, ephemera, and photographs related to Russell Meriwether Hughes ("La Meri")-- ethnic dance icon, instructor, friend (and one-time lover) of Charles Miller who saved the materials which comprise this collection. The collection also includes Miller's own research material and dissertation on Edward Gordon Craig, published in 1957.

Laird Stabler was Professor of Chemistry and Physics at USC, and later became Professor of Applied Chemistry and Metallurgy. He also helped found the School of Pharmacy in 1905, and was appointed Dean of the School in 1910, serving as Dean and Professor of Chemistry and Toxicology for 29 years until his death...
