Nick Apple papers

Abstract

Ephemera and memorabilia collected by USC alumnus Nick Apple. Included are photographs of Apple and the USC track and field team, copies of student newspapers and newsletters, USC ephemera, a commencement program, programs for USC track and field meets, a Pi Kappa Alpha songbook, and a program for a 1992 USC Olympian salute.

Association of Trojan Leagues records

Abstract

The Association of Trojan League records consists of meeting materials (agendas, reports, etc.), scholarship information, and President's reports, documenting the history and activities of the Association. The Association of Trojan Leagues was the umbrella organization for the seven alumnae Trojan Leagues throughout Southern California. The ATL was disbanded in 2018 following a reorganization of USC's alumnae organizations.

John R. Hubbard papers

Hubbard served as the eighth president of the University of Southern California from 1970 to 1980, during which time the university rose from 33rd to 19th in National Science Foundation rankings for federally sponsored research. During that decade, applications for admission to USC rose from 4,100 in 1970 to more than 11,000 in 1979, and the mean grade point average for admitted freshmen vaulted to 3.4 on a 4.0 scale. Moshe Lazar (1928-2012) was a professor in many subjects at the University of Southern California from the late 1970s until a year before his death. In addition to the many topics he taught at the University, he actively and avidly researched a variety of topics related to medieval literature, antisemitism, and Sephardic studies. Stabler family papers

Abstract The Stabler family papers consists of photographs, clippings, ephemera, correspondence, certificates and licenses, documenting the lives of Laird and Maud Stabler and their children. Laird Stabler was Professor of Chemistry and Physics at USC, and later became Professor of Applied Chemistry and Metallurgy. He also helped found the School of Pharmacy in 1905, and was appointed Dean of the School in 1910, serving as Dean and Professor of Chemistry and Toxicology for 29 years until his death...
