Scope and Content
Papers of John Allan Smith, Ed.D. Dr. Smith received his doctorate from USC in 1948. In addition to serving as Dean of Chapman College's Ship of the World Campus Afloat, and in many positions within the Los Angeles City schools, he also served as Executive Secretary of the Fulbright program in Pakistan, and much of the travel writing in the papers documents his time in Pakistan and related travels.
