Abstract The International Military Tribunal for the Far East (Tokyo War Crimes Trial) was conducted between April 29, 1946 and April 16, 1948, with the judgment delivered November 4-12, 1948. 28 Japanese former politicians, officials, and military leaders were put on trial. 419 witnesses appeared in person before the court, and an additional 779 submitted affidavits or depositions.
