Scope and Contents
The bulk of the collection consists of newsletters, meeting minutes, correspondence, membership records, photographs, promotional material, bylaws, and other papers documenting Dale Holland's involvement with the Metro-Chords and Kingmasters, 1972-1983. To a lesser extent, the papers document Holland's interest in the theater, Society of Pat Rocco Enlightened Enthusiasts (SPREE), Gay Girls Riding Club (GGRC), and AIDS-related organizations, 1970-1986.

Biography
From 1972-1974, Dale Holland was a member of the Metro-Chords, an eight to thirteen member singing group that performed in the Los Angeles area. From 1974-1983, Holland was involved with the Kingmasters, a Los Angeles based social organization that helped raise funds for such groups as the Homophile Effort For Legal Protection (HELP), Gay Community Services Center, and Metropolitan Community Church (MCC). Holland served as president of the Kingmasters in 1976.
